About a month ago, I was approached with an exciting project that I have somehow managed to keep under wraps.
It is my honor to announce that Dark Arts is returning in December. The Dark Arts & Crafts Faire: The Longest Night will take place on December 7th and 8th at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth. Presented in partnership between Deadwicks and 3S, this two-day event will feature 25+ independent artists and makers. Each day will have a unique selection of talented and innovative artists. I could not be more excited to share my poster design and to offer support as preparations begin. I want to extend a very special thank you to Fae for asking me to help her with this event.
When I signed up to represent my work at the first Dark Arts, I never imagined that it would grow into one of the most celebrated oddities markets in the Northeast. During that show, I spent two summer days selling my work in the vacant first floor of a historic building that barely had electricity. I had recently resumed drawing and painting after spending nearly three years in a creative slump. Through that event, I met so many incredible makers and found my place in a community that I did not realize existed. Participating in these events has inspired me to continue creating. I feel very fortunate to be able to connect, and find it surreal to see so many people come to support and share my art.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
